Today, attended my 1st Principles of Sociology lesson. Alone. That's when i really felt the importance of frens. Reminiscing the good old days in poly, where the 13+/- of us would sit tgt. Going into the lec hall/tut rm tgt when our lunch break/lesson is over. Making lots of noise when we entered the lec hall/tut rm because we are a bunch of
Luckily, thanks to the lecturer, i made new friends. She gave us 5 mins to interact with our neighbours. So you can hear people saying, "Hello. I'm XXX. What abt u?" and so on. That's how i get to know 3 more 'Business' friends. One of my them beg to differ when the lecturer used the word 'friend'. She preferred to use 'acquaintance'. Quite true. Because we just got to know each other but... nvm. Haha.
Anyway, 1st part of the lecture was rather boring; self-intro of the lecturer & etc. Couldn't rmb too. 2nd part of the lecture was better when she started to go through the ppt slides, teaching us what is sociology etc etc. I foresee that lots of thinking to be used in this module and ought to see things in a larger context. Sociology is the study of human social relationships and structures.
When it came to the study of social relationships, it caught my attention and felt that it was quite interesting. She gave us a simple example; The art of coffee.
Drinking a cup of coffee isn't just a refreshment. But it is/has...
